Technical Circle Opposed (20 mins)

- Three teams, split equally. Two inside the circle and one around the circle.

- Teams have to keep possession and find an opportunity to play through the middle, taking possession of the ball for a point.

- The team around the circle are safe, able to move around the circle and not be challenged, playing it back into the teams who chose to play into them.

- Nobody from the two teams in the middle is to go outside of the circle or into the square in the middle.

- Teams change after so many points, each team becomes the safety players around the circle.

Creating Space (20 mins)

- Two teams with a feeder in the middle box, four on the outside, and a GK in either goal.

- Rotating roles when necessary.

- The idea of the game is to create space using the players around them and using space.

- The feeder starts with the ball, looking to pass to a player in their opinion of a good space to get the activity going.

- The team in possession has to play the ball into the feeder at least twice before attacking any goal, using any feeders at any time as they wish.

- Feeders can't be tackled, only intercepted.

- Whilst the other team has possession, the team out of possession has to man/ zonal mark, press & intercept the ball.

- When a team scores, play is started from the goalkeeper. The usual rules apply for the ball going out of play (except corners, it will be played in by a feeder).

Focus

- Creating angles

- Being aware of the space at all times

- Using movement to create space/ dummy runs

- Movement off the ball

- Opposed against one defender who tries to tackle or intercept.

Progression

- One of the players from the outside now joins the attacking player to make a 2 vs 1, to switch the ball from one side to the other with a pass between players in the area, three times without losing possession. Swap roles each attempt.

- This can be progressed into 2 vs 2.

- Players in usual playing positions, except the midfield area, three out of four grids are occupied.

- The ball must enter the middle area and a pass to be played between the players before attacking, using the other players around the area for retaining possession.
