Dribbling (10 mins)
Organization: Cones as shown on either half of the field.
Duration: 10 minutes prior to game
Instructions:
Set cones up as shown in a 5M box, one of each colour. Show all the players how to do toe taps and tic tocs. Players dribble randomly inside their half, on coaches command they run to a specific colour(s) to touch the cone, then return to their ball and do toe taps or or tic tocs (5 for the 5/6, 10 for the 7/8) Everyone dribbles until another specified colour(s) are called. Call out a specific player 1 at a time to shoot on goal.
Toe Taps -The player starts by doing the "soccer pose" and then switches feet. As they get comfortable they can speed up switching feet to the ball.
Tic Tocs - the player taps the ball back and forth between their feet (using the inside of the foot), try to reamin in one spot while doing it.
