2. Black team is defending agaisnt yellow and white team. Defending team receives a point if they are able to complete 2 passes after winning posession of the ball.
3. Attacking teams receive a point if they complete 10 passes on a row.
Coaching Points:
1. Speed of transition to attack: if player is in a central area, look for windows to play out of. If players if in outside area, look to become a wide option.
2. Speed of defensive transition: recognize visual cue of when to press & when to get into an organized, compact defensive shape.
A: Pressing: when we have #'s around the ball. 1st defender presses and forces play to defensive numbers. Supporting players close passing lanes. Entire group needs to be focus on roles and ability to kill the options and minimize space & time 1st attacker has.
B: Organize: when nummbers are scattered around the field. Regain defensive shape and channel play into tight areas while looking for opportunity to close down the player on the ball.
3. Speed of play is essential to create realistic defensive situations. One touch passing is vital to break down high pressure.
