Method: 1v1 with wall passers (WP) introducing an option to pass. Players are asked to 'Play' one from each side run and touch the post. Coach serves the ball to the first player to touch post. Game starts and the players must get into the scoring zone to score. This will encourage the ball carrier to take on the opponent but introduces a passing option on both sides. If opponent wins the ball they try to score and can use the WP. If game is taking too long call out a countdown from 10
Coaching Points: Fake, feints, 1v1 skills, fake pass to WP, one-twos. Can we use the WP to fool opponent. When do we fake? What touches do we use? First touch.

Method: Players are asked to 'Play' one from each side run around corresponding cones and enter the pitch. Coach serves the ball to the first player into the pitch. Game starts and the players must get into the scoring zone to score. This will encourage the ball carrier to take on the opponent. If opponent wins the ball they try to score. If game is taking too long call out a countdown from 10. Focus on Defence
Coaching Points: Protect the scoring zone. Where can your opponent score from? Would you prefer to defend on your line or as close to theirs as possible. Slow down on arrival. Force the attacker to their least favoured foot. Cover centre of the pitch. Encourage them to be aggressive when trying to win the ball and remind them to score when they win the ball. Game doesn't end once they win the ball back. Always transitions. In these moments coach the player who just lost the ball to get back and try to catch their opponent before they can score.

(1) First player dribbles up to scoring zone and finishes unopposed. Immediately as this player shoots the blue player can go
(2) Red player has to try to get back and defend the blue attacker.
(3) as the Blue attacker shoots the Red Player goes and blue tries to defend and so on
If the attacker loses the ball they will immediately turn to defend the next attacker. Their attacking part is over and now must transition to defend
Coaching Points: Speed, what should the first touch look like? short or long, should we dribble or run with the ball? Where will we look to finish from? Can we get close to the attacker who will play as I shoot? Can we use deception? fakes, feints, fake shots to commit defender. What do you do if the defender is quicker? Can we cut the covering run by crossing paths? How do we slow our opponent?
