- Working in small groups: 1 working GK, 2-3 resting and 1 server.
- Each goalkeeper has a ball in their hands and will distribute the ball in to the server to catch.
- Server will then serve the ball into the working goalkeeper. Goalkeeper reacts and secures the serve before distributing into either of the 2 small goals at the side of the area.
- GK retrieves, and the next GK in line undergoes the practice.
KEY POINTS:
- ABC: Agility/Balance/Co-ordination - Speed to get down the line of the ball whilst being balanced and co-ordinated in order to deal with the serve on goal.
- Handling: Detail - Eyes fixed on the ball (feet to hands), fingers wrapped around the ball to secure.
- Distribution: Detail - Underarm roll into the goal (weight/accuracy).

GENERAL HANDLING/DISTRIBUTION 1
- Working in small groups: 3 working GKs (1 resting if needed) and 1 server.
- GK 1 starts the practice off by distributing the ball into the server.
- Server will then serve the ball into the working goalkeeper. Goalkeeper reacts and secures the serve before distributing into either of the 2 small goals at the side of the area.
- GK 2 or GK 3 reacts to the serve (low ball).
KEY POINTS:
- ABC's (Agility/Balance/Co-ordnation/Speed) - Ability to move across goal at speed with the ability to slow down whilst maintaining balance in order to deal with the shot on goal.
- Handling: Detail - Eyes fixed on the ball (feet to hands), fingers wrapped around the ball to secure.
- Low Balls: Scoop / Low Dive.
- Distribution: Detail - Underarm roll into the goal (weight/accuracy).

DTG: LOW DIVING
- Working in small groups with 1 working GK (1 resting if need be) and 3 servers.
- Working GK starts centrally and deals with the low ball either side from server 1.
- GK recovers and then moves into line at the angle to deal with a serve from the server from that side.
- GK recovers and shifts across goal to deal with the low ball from the opposite side against the opposite wide server,
KEY POINTS:
- ABC's (Agility/Balance/Co-ordnation/Speed) - Ability to move across goal at speed with the ability to slow down whilst maintaining balance in order to deal with the shot on goal.
Footwork to shuffle towards the line of the ball (movement into line with the ball or shuffling to attack down the line of the ball).
- Angles/Positioning - Centre of the goal and the ball.
- Low dive - shuffle, step, explode and attack the ball with hands in front.
- Decision: Scoop / low dive.

DTG: SHOT-STOPPING ARCH
- Repetition of array of skills practiced in the session.
- Allow goalkeepers to make decisions themselves.
- Guide and support goalkeepers before/during/after depending on intervention.
- Servers take a touch before shooting on goal - this helps to encourage the goalkeepers to move with the ball.
KEY POINTS:
- Angles / Positioning: - in relation to the centre of the goal and the ball. Narrow the angle by stepping down the line of the ball w/o compromising your reaction time.
- Decision-making: - what/where/why/when/how? (technique utilised, secure or parry?).
- Psych: - Desire to keep the ball out of the need, how do we react to making mistakes/goals conceded?

HAND-BALL
HAND-BALL 2 GKS VARIATION
- Teams play with equal numbers. Add in a neutral player if numbers are uneven.
- Play for a set time.
- Each team will start with a goalkeeper and if the opposition scores; the team changes their goalkeeper.
- Most goals scored - wins or if every goalkeeper has been scored on - that team loses.
