Guardiola Tournament (60 mins)

4v4 plus 4 tournament Barcelona tournament.

Use same outside perimeter that we used for warm-up except fro dividing line in the middle. Place all the balls behind the neutral players between the goals. Goals are 2 m behind the field.

Create 3 even teams of 4 players. If numbers do not work out play with 3 neutrals on the outside, 2 between goals and 1 on the side. You could also have a sub on a team who subs every 2 minutes.

Play a tournament of 4 min games. After 4 mins 1 minute break. Team on the outside comes in, one of the teams in the middle goes outside and becomes neutral.

Rule restrictions.

No throw ins. If a ball goes out, a neutral player plays in the next ball from the endzone of the team that should have received throw in.

Before a goal is scored an outside players must be passed to.

Neutral players on the outside always pass the ball to the team they received it from.

Encourage players to keep possession as they have an 8 v 4 numerical advantage. Encourage passing to safe players on outside.

Make sure each team gets the same amount of games.

Blue v Red plus Green outside

Blue v Green plus red outside

Green v Red plus Blue outside

3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie.

After the first round adjust teams and move players if one team is too strong. Encourage teams to count their points.
