Session Organisation:
- set up 2 target goal in one corner of box as shown
- Player 2 starts game with pass to player 1, player 1 to control and attack gate 1v1, player 2 to engage only once 1 has touched ball.
- Progression - 5 seconds in to score
- Progression - 2v2
- Progression - 2v2 5 seconds
Coaching Points:
- discuss 5 seconds fury - 5 seconds press then reset into shape
- encourage being direct and taking players on positive drive toward goal.
- defending player, body shape, distance from attacker and intensity to close player down.

Session Organisation:
- set up teams in formation (without striker)
- ball to start with keeper,
- defending players to start in middle zone, (identified as white for ease of read, but would be opposite coloured bibs)
- #1 = Attacking team to play out from the back with 2/3 touch football aiming to get ball into central zone, Only 2 attacking players can enter middle 3rd, Defending players to win possession and attack goal, Team has 5 seconds to press then must drop back into shape and cover runners,
- Team 2 is back to back of drill to ensure maximum engagement.
Coaching Points:
- count out seconds to press
- encourage positional shape
- look for player awareness, checking shoulders.
Progression:
- swop 1 wide player to become defender on other drill to even numbers
