First Touch Principles:
Receiving - On Ground (Inside)
-Receive with furthest foot from the ball
-Slight hop onto standing foot on contact to prepare for next action
-Receive with the toe pointed up and ankle locked

Organization: Grid 10 x 10 yards. 2 players. Cones. 1 Ball.
Instructions: The players are positioned facing each other about 5 yards apart. The player with the ball starts the practice by passing the ball along the ground, for her partner to control using the inside of the foot. The player controlling the ball should get the controlling foot behind the flight of the ball. On contact with the ball, the player immediately withdraws the foot, taking the pace off the ball, and cushioning it. The player then passes the ball back to the server.
Coaching Points:
Get the controlling foot behind the flight of the ball
Withdraw the foot on immediate contact
Being on your toes
Progressions:
P: Depending on the success rate, progress to using the thigh and chest to control the ball.

Organization:
1. 6 Triangles spread out (only 4 shown above).
2. 6 Players in the triangles without a ball.
3. 6 players outside the triangles with a ball.
Instructions:
1. Player with the ball plays into the player without a ball and they exchange places.
2. To get out of the triangle, receiving player must only use 1 touch to get out.
Coaching Points:
Receiving Player
1. On toes (be prepared)
2. Move in line with the ball.
3. Communication (eye contact or verbal).
4. Head up as ball travels.
5. 1st touch out of feet to allow head to immediately come up.
Passing Player
1. Eye contact before pass.
2. Quality of pass (weight and accuracy).
Progressions:
1. If ball comes in one side of the triangle then it must go out a different side.
2. Change size and color of triangles (Big triangles take 1st touch inside/Small Triangles take 1st touch outside ).

Organization:
1, 2 groups of 6 if possible.
2. 2 different lines (teams)
3. 2 goal nets.
Instructions:
1, Players pass the ball back and forward and on the coaches command the game starts and players are looking to score in either goal.
Coaching Points:
1. Moving 1st touch away from pressure.
2. Acceleration after 1st touch to get away from defender.
3. Transition if lose the ball to win it back.
4. Transition of defender to attack if they win it.

Organization:
1. Area size 30 x 25.
2. 3 v 3 (include GK if available).
Instructions:
1. Players split up into 4 teams and play a round robin tournament where all teams play.
Coaching Points:
1. 3 lines of attack, 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward.
2. Create as much space for player in possession.
3. Try to create a triangle at all times to give good angle of support.
4. Team mates create gaps, can player in possession look to "Messi" into them.
