Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
Three sets of three serves focusing on low, mid height and high dives

See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Goalkeeper sets in the middle of the goal and the server plays a strike waist height into the corner
Three sets of three on each cone and to be repeated on the other side
The server will start from shooting mid height from the purple cone for three strikes
For the second stage the service will be from the orange cone, therefore closer in meaning less reaction time for the goalkeeper working
The third and final stage of the drill the service will take place from the red cone (penalty spot). Again providing the goalkeeper with more of a challenge from an even closer distance
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
Can the goalkeeper be set correctly with a good stance and hand position
Enable themselves to assess the pace and whereabouts of where the ball is heading and attack the ball at the earliest point (Getting through it, not to it)
Making quick decisions on whether to step forward and catch or leave the floor and parry
Stepping forward into the save for a controlled landing
If deciding to catch - using the three hand concept of trapping the ball against the floor
