Arrival Activities

1. In pairs passing and receiving between the cones. Must receive through cones then pass back through different cones. Side foot, weight of pass, focus on the technique

2. Square box of cones, shot edge and long edge. Must receive and pass outside of the cones, nothing in the box. Focus is first touch, away to play to next player so receiving on the back foot play away with the other

Passing on the Move

Key Factors

Still a skill practice working on technique but with interference with a crowd in the middle. Varying passing distances, continued flow.

4. Half Players in central square with the ball, half around outer square edge, Players in the middle pass to an outer player, go receive the ball back, swap after 2 minutes.

Possession and playing away

Key Factors

Posession 4v2 2 players from central zone go in and press (Yellows are shown)

Blues aim to complete 3 passes before transferring the ball to another square (so to reds or blacks)

Blacks need to move relative to the ball position to "Support the Play"

If ball is successfully transferred, two yellow presser retreat and next two yellow go in.

Team that loses the ball, become defenders.

Progression

If a pass isnt on and the player wants to take the ball into the central zone, 2 colour players from each team can go in and support so smaller area but 6 v 2 in central zone
