See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Session Organisation:
Players Involved: All - 8v8
Size: 35m wide x 45m long
Timing: 20 minutes (2 x 10min’)
Team Shape (US): In Possession: 3:3:2 Out of Possession: 3:3:2
Team Shape (THEM): In Possession: 3:3:2 Out of Possession: 3:3:2
Scoring Method: Each team must try to pass to a player in the “scoring zone”, once they have achieved this the same team must change direction and look to score in the opposite scoring zone.
Starts/Restarts: GK
Rules/Explanations: Each team must try to pass to a player in the “scoring zone”, once they have achieved this the same team must change direction and look to score in the opposite scoring zone. Players can not be inside the scoring zone when final pass is made i.e. the scoring threshold is an offside line
Teams can not score in the same zone, you must score in the opposite zone each time. Midfield players must drop into back line to defend when opposition team changes direction i.e. 3-3-2 must be maintained even when team changes direction.
Progressions:
1. Limit touches
2. Add 2 “joker” players who can combine with either team
3. Reduce size of area to 25 x 35 to promote more touches and more combinations

Player Tasks/Challenges:

-Can we find a player facing forward
-Can we move the ball forward quickly
-Can we make diagonal runs into the scoring zone
-Can we time our runs into the scoring zone to “beat offside trap”

Coaches Cues:

When we are unable to turn/play forward.
When we gain possession.
When our teammates have the ball and are driving forward.
