Players will learn the importance of playing forward where possible to allow penetration, When to dribble? when to pass? where to run? where to pass?

Setup;
3 grids 10m x 10m as shown with 3v1 in grid 1 & 1v1 in grids 2 & 3. Cones , balls and bibs. Change size of grids to suit.
Organization:
Split groups into 3v1 possession game. After the 5th pass the player with possession needs to pass the ball into the second grid to get a point and continue the game. If the defenders block the pass they score a point, if the attacking player is able to pass the ball to a supporting player in the next grid they continue. Repeat until ball makes it to the 3rd grid, Attackers score 3 points if they succeed, they then attempt to play back to start, changeout defenders after 5 successful blocks or interceptions or 90secs. (5 points are scored)

TASK: POFTB - START THE ATTACK AS QUICKLY AS WE CAN
INSTRUCTIONS:
FORMATION AS ABOVE 1(GK), 3(2,3,4), 2(5,6), 3(7,8,9) + DEFENDERS
PASSING MOVEMENT ALWAYS STARTS WITH GK.
GK TO PLAY A PASS TO EITHER THE CM OR THE FB ON THE SIDE OF THE FIELD THAT THE BALL/PLAY FINISHES. I.E IF RIGHT SIDE OF GOALS PLAY RB OR R SIDED CM (AS SHOWN).
FULLBACKS ARE TO START WIDE & HIGH (MARK FOR THE DROP OFF ZONE)
BOTH CM TO START AT TOP OF ZONES MARKED, BALL SIDE CM DROPS TO RECEIVE AND OPEN SIDE STAYS HIGH.
BALL SIDE CM OR FB CAN RECEIVE THE GK PASS.
LOOK TO PLAY FORWARD WITH NEXT PASS.

6 cones and lots of balls. grid size 20m x 30m
Organization:
Cones in a cross pattern, a player on each cone to start, spare players and balls at 1 & 2.
Instructions:
1) Player A passes to player B. Player B receives the ball with his left foot and has a touch away from pressure into the space. When player B takes his first touch, Player C checks towards the ball, and makes a diagonal run looking for the through ball. Same on the other side of the activity.
Coaching points:
Can I spot my target and I can I hit him?
Is my pass to advantage? Is the weight of pass correct?
Is my body weight following my pass?
Am I ready to receive am I moving to meet the pass?
