Warm Up

Organization:

20x30 (converts to 40x60 for next game) (Full Field lines out for scrimmage)

Instructions:

Double Pass 3 line game with breakway finish

Initial Fix

I. Double Movement Movement away or inside (Priority 1, we want this to be habitual)

A. physical movement and or

B. body movement (example hip twist)

II. Physical: Make contact with the defender to commit him and to know where he is (Priority 2, this is part fixing the defender, and part thinking out the game and solving problems)

9 Central Movement

Organization:

Working on combinations with front to get behind the defense. The defense is medium width and very high. We have loads of space behind. Both 7/11 were rocovering to defend and are now in pocket of space between opponents backs and midfielders.

A. Start with Option A (from warm up): 9-6 Double Pass (everything1 touch)

B. Option B Hold up to get 7/11 around

C. Getting 7/11 underneath and finding weakside runner from strongside pass

4v4 (3+gk) in sections

3 teams

Game starts with coach playing firm ball into 9 after he fixes the defender.

Each team plays 4 rounds and then rotate. The team with the most goals wins after all rounds are completed.

V. Deep central run to get ball off of 6 (allowing 7/11 to both get around)

Hold Ups Option A’s (the quickest if on, short space between the combining 9 to 7/11, very simple so not the most disorganizing to the defense, must happen quickly)

1: Hold Up to 7/11 getting around tight, between seems, or around outside back

9 plays ball in front of 7 who has now gotten around play

7 recognizes that he is close enough to 9 to get behind him quickly

7 runs hard and fast around 9 between the seem(A), or runs hard around the other teams 3 (B) or runs at the 3 then breaks in or out.

11 moves inside for reset option with a diaginal body shape so if he receives he could play 7

11 communicates his movement by telling 9 to play back or play 7. 11's voice tell 9 where he is.

11 after ball has been passed through to 7 and 7 has collected 11 begins making hard fast late runs to receive cross from 7
