1) Use a R footed winger- we want to bend in our shots to the 2nd 6 or 12 yards out Hit the ball hard & waist high towards near post or the PK spot. Put it on frame and hope for a defensive deflection, redirect from one of our players or a rebound off a keeper.
Players in the box to attack: 2 CFs, 2 CM. Backside midfielder will take garbage and or slow down counter attacks
Both outside midfielders will take the corner kicks. All kicks will be made waist high or below and driven, not lofted to the back post.
Near side wingbacks need to support the crosser.
CBs must stay home and move to be vertical in alignment: 1 in front of their striker & one droped off 5 yards behind to prevent their striker from getting the ball and holding it or a quick counter attack.
We should not commit more players to score in normal situations in order to prevent counter attacks.

To train bravery, commitment, ball winning, finding second balls, etc. we use a game with goals 36 yards apart.
We will use 4 servers (each with a number and one at each of the four corners) and game is 4 v 4 to 8 v 8 in the middle.
Players use forced marking so they are responsible for one player.
Each team gets three services to a goal unless they score (earn an extra service) or if defenders can win first ball and then get on second ball to play to one of far targets the attacking teams turn is over.
If your man scores you must sprint around field (36 x 60) while your team defends a man down. You can play two minute games, games to 2, etc.
