Organization: Set area approx 20-30 yards. 8-10 players. Single nets on either end.
Activity: Teams play SSG with a neutral bumper on the sidelines. Teams must play a pass to a bumper before scoring. PROGRESSION: Award value to goal, if you can play both bumpers before scoring goal is worth 2. PROGRESSION: If bumper receives pass they can join play to create number advantage
Coaching Points: Can players recognize congestion/traffic/pressure/multiple defenders and switch play. Decision to make long switch pass vs. shorter pass to set up switch by a teammate. Quality passes. Positioning body to receive pass. Movement to provide support to make a switch, movement to support after switch made. Attack space after switch has been made

Organization: Set Area approx 5x15 per diagram above. 5 players
Activity: Players play with 3v1 in each end box, with the 3 players alone 3 sides and 1 defender in middle. Players combine a number of passes before playing pass across middle area to box at opposite end to a waiting player. The defender chases after the ball. The 2 side players then run to opposite box to support and create another 3v1. See how many times can switch play without defender winning ball. Progression: Limit touches. Increase/decrease number of passes allowed.
Coaching Points: Quality passes. Can players create good angles with body to receive and make passes and position selves to switch play. Can players make quick decisions under pressure to play ball short vs. long for a switch.

Organization: Set Area 20-30 yards, set half line with cones. Approx 10 players divided into 2 teams.
Activity: Prior to adding ball, players run around area performing a number of dymanic movements on coaches cue. ADD BALL: Players position themselves with 2-3 players per side. Each team has a ball, ball starts with ball on side with more players. Players make a pass to teammate on their side before passing across half to a teammate, passer follows pass to other half. Make a game of it, how may times can you switch the ball over, more time than other team...Set time limits, losing team does jumping jacks or burpies.
Coaching points: Get up heart rate. Get touches on ball, with focus on passing and receiving long and short. Focus to move quickly and support pass after switching to other half.
