Targeted work on long passing and receiving followed by a game free of the distraction of goals. Attacking principles of Depth, Width, Movement/Support, Penetration, and Creativity. Coaching points that I plan to stress in the game are body shape and 1st touch (directional) as well as movement and timing off ball and speed of play to take advantage of that. Defensive principles Pressure Cover Balance Compactness and Communication as players are added. Shape and making play as predicable as possible. Don't get split!

Coach with pile of balls
Players in two lines 30-50 yds out

Serves of high lofted balls, hard driven balls and bouncing balls.
No bounce when possible

As few of touches as possible to get ti to a target player
If ball is won and target player is connected with, receiver takes target players spot and target player gets in line.

2v1 Three Zone Rondo
2:3 ratio grid about 14yd by 21yd divided into 7yd thirds
An out of possession zone sandwiched between two In Possession zones.
1 player per zone. (optional teammate/target for Def to connect with upon reception then transition into Red In Possession and Blue out of Possession)
If ball goes out of bounds and was last touched by Defender (Out of Poss player) just a restart. If last touched by In Poss player then 1 strike is counted. After the 3rd strike Red and Blue switch places.
- directional 1st touch
- off ball movement
- noticing when the opponent notices you, moving when they aren't

6v3 and 6v4 Three Zone Rondo
Touch limits for In Poss
Pressure (to a degree), Cover, Balance and Compactness for Out of Poss
Play through the transition, if Red win the ball they move with the ball to the In Poss Zones and Blue to the Out of Poss Zone Can Blue get a steal on the way out? How many times can the new In Poss team get the ball across the middle zone before the Out of Poss team is in shape?

4v4v4 Three Zone Rondo
3 teams of four.
Narrowed Out of Poss Zone (2-3yd wide)
Out of Poss team allowed 2 pressuring players to enter the In Poss Zone where the ball is to try and win it and pass to one of their teammates thus taking over that zone and sending the ball losing team to the Out of Poss Zone. Still working for Points of getting the ball across the middle zone. Teams must keep their own score by loudly declaring a point when it connects with the other team.
Each team while In Poss carries it's own strikes for balls going out of bounds and a strike can be awarded to both teams for poor pass and poor effort to receive. 3 Strikes and the team goes to the Out of Poss Zone.

1st Touch Squares Long Range Edition
1st Touch Squares Long Range Edition with Helper Monkeys showing in the middle.
Pairs of 5-7 yd 1st touch boxes placed 20-30yds apart. Lines of 3 players behind each box facing each other.
In the diagram lines A and B will be working together while C and D work together.
If the ball starts with the first person in line A, she will take a long kick to line B where the first player in line should try to make their first touch in the box, out of the box. (in reality the boxes will just be target areas and reference points to keep the exercise from wandering all over the field).
That first player from line A will then follow their long pass to provide a target for the receiver in line B.
Can she show on an angle?
B will play back to A who will play back to B.
B then hits a long pass to the next person in line A restarting the cycle.
After the play, the first player A gets in line B
