WITHOUT BALL

1) Sprint
2) Burpees
3) Push ups
4) Sit ups
-On the whistle, the first pair will sprint to Yellow and jog back to end of queue.
-next pair will wait for the next whistle.
-After 2 turns, sprint to Blue, then Red.
WITH BALL
Description
-Players work in pairs, to pass the ball to one another on the spot.
-On the whistle, the first pair will pass while moving forward, using the:
1) Inside Pass (as the predominant pass)
2) Sole Pass (as a secondary pass)
Players should also work on the following receiving techniques:
1) Inside Foot
2) Outside Foot
3) Sole
-Use strong foot first, then weak foot, then alternating foot with each pass to pass the ball.
-After each turn, make sure to alternate shooter.
-Increase shooting distance after 2 minutes.
Progressions
1) Use 2 touch passing; then finally try to use 1 touch.
2) Now this time use 2 balls between 2- players must time and aim their passes well and in coordination, whilst having a shot at goal simultaneously.
3) Add a defender- encourage passing to find space to shoot and score.
4) Add a skill before shooting to beat defender: Shoulder Feint & Step Overs

Coutinho to Firmino
Description:
-Organise players into pairs (Firmino & Coutinho) and assign a defender on the opposite side, near the goal (they are not allowed to cross a certain line as shown).
-Firmino and Coutinho will work together combining good passing and receiving skills along with moving effectively to get into space and beat defender for Firmino to then score.
-Players can make as many passes as they like- EXAMPLE 1 shows just a 1-2 between the two players, whereas EXAMPLE 2 shows 4 passes.
-Rotate players after 2-3 minutes so that everyone has a turn at being Firmino, Coutinho and the Defender.
Progression:
1) Allow only 1 touch passing now.
2) Players must make a total of 5 passes before shooting.
