Organizational / Instructions
-Set up small gates using cones all around the area at different angles.
-Each player has a ball
-Players must count the number of gates that they dribble through in 30 seconds. Players attempt to increase that number on future attempts.

-Players must keep the ball close to them by using the inside and outside of both feet.
-This tight area encourages more controlled dribbling
-Heads up scanning to see space available for dribbling

Progressions / Adaptations
- Add in skill move through each gate e.g. Cruyff turn, step overs etc.

-Players must count the number of gates that they received the lofted ball through in 30 seconds. Players attempt to increase that number on future attempts.
-Tight Box
-Players rotate at each gate, passer becomes the receiver at next gate.

-Players must keep the ball close to them by using the inside and outside of both feet.
-This tight area encourages more controlled dribbling
-Heads up scanning to see space available for dribbling
-Passer throws lofted pass through the gates to allow the receiver to control the ball from the air.
-Player should receive the ball and comfort it down with the top of their foot.
-When stopping at a gate the dribbler must stop the ball with the sole of their foot.

Organizational / Instructions
-Small sided games (1v1)
-If ball goes out of play have a quick restart. (If ball goes out twice move onto next players)
-Assign numbers and call out to play, e.g. number 4 both number 4s from each team would come out to face up.
-Tight box to encourage close control dribbling.
Coaching Points
-Head up scanning
-Ball will be lofted into the game to encourage controlling the ball from the air as worked on previously.
-Players should receive lofted ball with the top of their foot to cushion it down.
-Close control dribbling using inside and outside of both feet
-Burst of pace when changing direction to try beat opponent.
-Praise effort and work rate.

Box set-up, Each player has a ball, 5 minute warm-up.
Coaching Points
- When a coach calls out a number players must find each other and group up in that number, e.g. Coach calls number 4 players then need to form groups of 4. (Forfeit optional).
- Players must keep close control of ball when dribbling, using both inside and outside of both feet, knee over ball, head up and scanning.
- Encourage burst of pace when changing direction while keeping the ball close to continue with dribble.
