2v2 Intercept Game
It's a 2v2 in both marked off areas . The aim of the game is to intercept the pass from one area to the other and look to connect with your team on the other side , who's opponents try intercept . If the intercept is made the ball needs to be switched to score in the other area . If the attacking team recieves the long ball they need to score in the mini goals . Any breakdown or turnover means the ball must be played to the opposite area .
If there is no ball in play a coach or free player can play a ball in to any area to restart the drill .

4v4 Interception game .
Whichever team is attacking the goals the opposition have to win the ball and play it across the field to their fellow team on the other side inorder to score . Each turnover means the ball must be transfered across the field . The drill creates interception chances .
The team that turns the ball over may connect with a few passes before having to transfer the ball to the opposite side .
Basic Interception (20 mins)
This drill focusses on interceptions by a defensive player .
Player A passe the ball down the line looking to connect with player 1 . Player B must try and intercept the ball first . If he manages to intercept he plays a 2v2 toward the top goals . If player 1 recieves the ball its a 1v1 into the high goals .
It is important for the defender to find his optimal distance from the attcker to force a clean interception .
He must also look at the distributing players body language as to when the oportune moment is to go for the interception .
Increase the passing distance if needs be .
Mimic the drill on both sides of the field .
