Activation of Mid level catching warmup (10 mins)

GK Sets at middle of Gate, rotates to far side then comes back for a volley

  • Emphasize quick feet
  • Good hands position
  • Shoulders forward
  • Rotate sides after 2 sets of 4

Activation of Diving to mid level ball (15 mins)

  • GK Sets at front gate of Triangle after starting in the middle
  • GK Then drops to back of Triangle and gets a volley at the cone once set. 
  • GK Then dives to a collapse dive through the gate to work on technique and landing with the ball. 

  • Progression 
  • 2 dives at the cone then dives opposite side. 
    • Emphasis on quick to feet.

Unscripted shot, scripted volley (20 mins)

Server 1 calls a color for the GK to move to. 

Then serves a volley 

After the volley is caught Server 2 hits a mid range shot for the GK to attack. 

Emphasize good set position, Look at the cue of the shooter. Drive hands to the ball, Catch if possible otherwise push ball wide. in parry.

Unscripted with shots at goal (30 mins)

Server 1 Mid level shot into the GK 

After save GK rolls the ball to Server 3

Server 2 then dribbles around the gate either right or left side, has a shot mid level anywhere on frame. Server 1 plays shadow defender. 

Server 3 waits for part 2 to be done then takes a touch and shot anywhere on frame. as it will be unscripted.
