Introducing the players to passing and moving. Coaching the aspect of the correct body position and moving away from the cone as the players need to imagine it is a defender. Make sure the players are recieving the pass side on facing the way they are going to be passing the ball. Using markers on the floor to show where the movement should be for the cone that the player they are going to be passing it to is. Example if the ball is going left then the player in the middle moves to their right to create the passing angle. Once they have passed the ball they will then follow their pass until the ball is back to te beginning. They will start the routine again but go to the opposite side of what they have just been to.

Once the players have accomplished phase 1, coach will progress to phase 2. This is an introduction to playing a one-two pass then moving away. movement is exactly the same to start with the player pulling off to the side, once they have played the pass back to the starter, they will then spin of into the hole behind. The starter passes the ball to the far player on the left who will lay the ball off in the hole for the middle player. They will also play a one-two but te pass goes infront of the cone for the player who has recieved the long pass. Make sure the coach is showing the players the correct movement as alot of the players to start with are very static.

Warm Up Passing Drill (10 mins)
Players get into a circle, they pass the ball to the right. They are missing the player next to them out and going to the player next to them. That player is then laying the ball off to the player who was missed out who is then going to miss the player out to his right and go to the one next to him. Again they will lay it back to the player who was missed out. The sequence is always 2 forward one back. Once the players get the hang of the pattern, the coach will add more balls in until the players are always recieving a pass and being on their toes.
