Pre season session 1 has been designed to reintroduce functional footbal based movements and a feel for the ball, whilst working on the players endurance levels

8 V 4 Posession (2 squares for number of players):
Team in posession look to keep the ball away from the defenders and make 10 passes to score a goal
Play stops if the defending team win back the ball and is then resumed from the coach
Defending team will remain defensive as follows:
Round 1 - 2 mins
Round 2 - 1.30 mins
Round 3 - 1 min

1000m, 800m and 600m Endurance Runs
Players are put into 3 groups to complete the following runs:
- 2 x 1000m, to be completed in 4 minutes/2 minutes rest
- 2 x 800m, to be completed in 3 minutes 20 seconds/1 minute 40 seconds rest
- 2 x 600m, to be completed in 2 minutes 40 seconds/1 minute 20 seconds rest

Running Circuit (15 mins)
Section 1 - Player collects the ball and runs and turns with it on the first cone before dropping it back to the 1st cone for the next player
Section 2 - Slalomn
Section 3 - Side Steps to cone and then backward check to cone (alternate sides each time)
Section 4 - 30m stride and ease down to cone
Section 5 - Recovery walk
Circuit 1 - 5 mins, 50% max effort at sections
Circuit 2 - 4 mins, 75% max effort at sections
Circuit 3 - 3 mins, Max effort at sections
1 minute rest in between circuits
