Warm up with the Ball with Dynamic Stretching
Organisation
15 to 20 metres apart with 2 player at one end and 2 players at the other end.
1. Slow pace control, carry, pass and move to the other end. Increase the pace and the speed of the pass.
2. Play a simple control, with a combination wall pass with the oncoming player. Progress to one touch.
3. Play a long pass at pace, control and move to other end.
4. Dynamic Stretches on the spot.
5. Extend the distance to 20 to 25 metres apart and play long ball with control. Move to the other end.
6. Play a long pass, control, and provide combination wall pass with the oncoming player. Progress to 1 touch.

5 v 2 - Possession With Purpose (15 mins)
Set-Up: 4 - 10yds x 10yds grids as shown. Balls on outside of grid ready for use.
Instructions: Black team plays 5 v 2 in 1 grid, Red team plays 5 v 2 in grid diagonally across from Black team. First pass is always free. Teams score a goal by completing 10 consecutive passes. First team to score 5 goals wins. Defenders can be changed up at any time. Defenders can keep the ball on gaining possession and try dribble the ball out off the square. First pass is alway free for attacking team when ball exits the grid.

Chasing Game - Possession With Purpose (15 mins)
Set-Up: 4 - 10yds x 10yds grids as shown. Balls on outside of grid ready for use.
Instructions: Black team plays 5 v 2 in 1 grid, Red team plays 5 v 2 in grid diagonally across from Black team. First pass is always free. Teams complete 5 consecutive passes which then allows them to pass in to the adjacent grid in a clockwise direction. Players move in to this grid and then attempt to complete 5 consecutive passes before they advance to the next grid in a clockwise direction. Teams score by catching up to the opposing team. Defenders can be changed up at any time. Defenders can keep the ball on gaining possession. First pass is always free for attacking team when ball exits the grid. First team to score 3 goals wins.

Organization:
3 Attackers outside the Box
2 Wide Players on each Side
2 Defenders
2 Coaches or Players on the byline of the 6 yard box
Instructions:
Wide players play a wall pass between them with a pass to the winger to the byline for a cross to the 3 attackers to Score.
Once one of the attackers strikes, they must quickly back track to the edge of the box where they will recieve a pass back from one of the coaches on the byline for them to strike and finish.
Defenders start with passive defending then try to stop attackers scoring from the cross and then trying to block the strike from the pass from the coaches.
Coaching Points:
Communication - between the 3 attackers
Timing of runs in to the box
Striking the ball
Hitting the target
Scoring
Quality crosses to front and back post.
Angle and speed of approach.
Defensive stance.
Proper distance and spacing
Defenders rotate with Wingers every 12 crosses.
Then Defenders and Wingers change with Attackers and vice versa.

Passing patterns that result in shot on goal
Progression 1: Play target who starts deeper, sets into pass of initial passer who slides ball through to wide player for shot on goal
