If blues win the ball it becomes an 8v5 in the large zone and they must keep possession with the same principles as we set out for the red team in the middle zone.
How quick can the red team win the ball back after losing possession?

Good pass and movement - high intensity to win ball back and retain when won. Communication, quality of pass, creating angles to offer support and body shape when receiving.

Method: Start with set out above and depending on numbers 5v2 or 6v3. Reds must try and keep possession in the middle zone (marked with cones).
Reds must maintain a high work rate with movement off the ball creating space and overloads with the 5v2. Can they go 2/3 touch max to move the ball quicker.
Blues can they maintain a good shape as a pair and look for triggers for when to press and win the ball back.
