7v7 Possesion Game
2 grids (25 yards X 30 yards = Grid 1)
2 teams of 7 players (can adjust numbers if needed)
Coach plays ball into Red team (opposite team sends over 2 Blue defenders)
Red team begins in possession. Every 5 passes =1 point
After every 5 passes add another defender. Defending team tries to win ball and play back to their team in opposite half.
Progressions:
1. add counter pressing points. If possession team loses possession but wins ball back and prevents defenders from playing to their color, then thats a point.
2. Start with 3 defender. 4?
3. Touch restrictions
4. Touch restrictions after 5 passes =2 touch only

3v2 transition
3v2 Transion Game
Set-up:
Two goals on opposite ends, adjust space according to players age and fitness demands desired. 2 teams begin on opposite sides next to their goal.
Description:
Attacking blue team of 3 starts with the ball versus 2 red defenders.
If attacking team shoots, scores, or keeper catches it, all 3 blue attackers come off, the 2 red defenders add 1 and become the attacking team of 3 and attack opposite end, while 2 new blues come on as defenders from behind the goal.
If attacking team fails to score and defending team wins the ball, they can attack with numbers down to the goal and try to score. Order of who comes on will always be the same regardless of outcome in the action.
Progressions:
1. If defending team wins the ball they play ball back to the keeper to restart and the keeper plays the new player coming on to begin the next attack.
2. If goal is scored in 6 seconds or less its worth double. 5 secs? 8 sec? adjust accordingly.
Coaching Points:
1. Transition to attack
2. Attack/commit defender to use numerical advantage then play free player.
3. Expliot moment of transition and defending team is not set/organized (most vulnerable moment).
4. Finishing attacks at speed, every action should finish with a shot on goal. Decision making under pressure. What was best option?
