Shot Stopping, Movements, High balls
GK starts on goal line steps forward to get in line with player one (heels in line with post). Player one performs a volley to GK hands. GK throws ball back drops back in and prepares to catch a high ball from server two. After catch goalkeeper rolls ball back drops back in then moves to get in line with player four for another volley then drops back in to catch a high ball from player three.

Footwork/Distribution, shot stopping,movement across the goal-
- Players 1,3,4 have a ball at their feet.
- Goalkeeper starts by facing player two. On command turns, gets across goal as quickly as possible to receive a back pass from from player one and then switches play by swinging the ball out to player two. GK then quickly gets in line with player two who plays a ground pass/shot for the GK to perform a front smother. GK rolls ball back to player two then gets across and in line with player three for a volley, tosses ball back and shuffles across to get in line with player four for another volley.
Change direction of drill and repeat.

Warm UP - 15 minutes.
Player one under hand toss’s ball above shoulder height of goalkeeper for the goalkeeper to one handed catch and toss back. ( Use right hand when starting at player one). Goalkeeper shuffles in line with player two for same thing. Goalkeeper than performs footwork over the cones to get in line with player three for a one handed catch, then shufflers to get in line with player four for same thing. The Goalkeeper then reverses the process using opposite hand.
-PROGRESSION 1
(Inside and laces) Same movements as above, except now the services will be a toss to the GK feet for a foot volley. Full and half volley services.
- Progression 2-
Same movements as above except services will be out of hands volley service for the GK to catch. GK hand roll or throw the ball back to server either overhand or underhand

- Focus on quality services
- Focus on watching the ball come into hand/s
- Quick sharp foot work
- Keep body shape when moving
- Don’t swing your arms and upper body when moving.
