Playing through the Playmaker & Magicman (40 mins)

Organisation - Playing through the Playmaker and the Magicman to break into the final 3rd.

Working with the blues only, trying to play through the central areas with the Magicman & Playmaker to get the ball into the 2 strikers as quickly as possible. Reds are locked in their 1/3's, Blues have the freedom to move between the 1/3's however there can only ever be 3 blues in one 3'd at a time.

Re-cap last weeks session - Be patient, maintain shape and wait for the overload to create space and time for someone on the ball.

Goalkeeper

Be relaxed and composed on the ball

Support the defenders to create the overload which will create time and space for a TM eventually.

Recognise opportunites to play penertrative passes

Try to use a variety of passing techniques - driven, clipped

Defenders

Use the overload to play into the Playmaker & Magicman as quickly as possible. ( Try to receive the ball with head up as much as possible )

Recognise opportunites to dribble into the middle 1/3 and commit players.

Can you look to support underneath the ball when its further up the pitch.

Playmaker & Magicman -

Be prepared to stay on the ball & make things happen

Movement & Support - read the triggers ( as the ball is moving, to move into pockets of space to get on the ball. )

Body shape - Try to see both goals as much as possible

Awareness - Recognise opportunites to play forwards or dribble into space

Combinations - Can you work together to create passing options into the final 3rd?

Strikers

Can the ball see you ? Try to combine to create goalscoring options.

No space in and behind for this practice so will have to be clever to create goalscoring opportunites.

Either the Playmaker & Magicman can support in the final 3rd once ball is in there.
