Description

Unopposed patterns to create scoring chances focusing on quick play and different ways to create shooting chances. Move into 4 v 2 and 3 v 2 to practice in game related situations.

play into CDM on 1/2 turn following a double movement

then into striker who also double moves

11 & 12 double move and cross over

go on to find partner for one touch finish

The passes from by line to other 2 forwards for a first time finish, goalie always faces 3 shots

Introduce a coach who is a passive defender (encourages decision making and beating offside)

Striker spins and CDM goes to edge of box

Encourages quick attacks

Change to bouncing back to CDM and through. AM and switch. AM and FW bending run.

Then CDM on 1/2 turn other way finds the opposite spare midfielder behind the line

Spare midfielder finds the wing back who finds the striker who lays it off and then finds the wing back overlapping. Cross and finish with middle 4 occupying box. Repeat on other side

CPs:

Fast passing maximum 2 touch, try 1 touch

Pass detail to correct foot

Movement away from the markers and body shape for the next pass

Know the picture in your head before you receive it by scanning

Calm finishing by passing into net

3v 2 attacking game

3 teams with 3 players in attack in our normal formation against two defenders with an offside line. Use the patterns we have learnt.

If possession is lost or offside the defending team can attack 3 v 3 with one further transition allowed.

4 V 2 Attacking game

Serve up to striker dropping short then work on the combinations to score

3 touches max for attacking team, unlimited for defending team. Win it back and punish them by find early forward pass by bouncing off team mates beside opposite goal and finishing.

React first to transitions by supporting the attack or counter pressing and stop the early forward pass

Use goalkeeper to transition  then make sure your transition is faster than theirs
