In the session focusing on the in possession principle from the Welsh game model of breaking lines. This is then supported by the sub principles and player actions to be able to support the players and the team as a hole to be able to execute.
With the coaching points layering them in throughout the block to create the environment that presents players with the appropriate challenge during the session.

Technical Technical ability to perform player actions is high due to high amount of opportunity's for players to get on the ball. Technical skills weight of pass scanning when receiving in pocket of space, passing technique, the orientation of the pass into teammates to support their movement to receive the ball. |

Tactical Tactical moments aren't as high due to the type of activity, most tactical information is more in the flow for players to receive information. |

Physical High work duration lower rest periods, means that player work really hard out of possession but supported with in game rest moments. |

Set Up:
- 7 Yards Long 15 Yards Wide per grid Total 21 Yards Long x 15 wide
- 2 teams - 6v6
Conditions:
- 3 min work - 1min 30 sec rest - 3 reps 1 block
Challenges:
- In possession clear decision making to play through, round, over to be able to switch the point of attack
- Move the ball quickly to find the spare player in doing so breaking lines
- Defensively win the ball back quickly and play across to the other group
- Timing of movement to receive the ball between the lines
Target:
- Score goal - 1 point
- Score goal after breaking lines 2 points
Progressions:
- If you skip a line into a teammate and they score 3 points (example) Blue who's in defending zone breaks line skips middle into the attacking zone and the player who received in the attacking zone scores. - Only progress if need - decipher if players are being brave in their decision making to execute the action.
Regressions:
- Limiting number of players in each 1/3 to create more time on the ball.
Coaching Points:
- In possession clear decision making to play through, round, over to be able to switch the point of attack
- Move the ball quickly to find the spare player in doing so breaking lines
- Defensively win the ball back quickly and play across to the other group
- Timing of movement to receive the ball between the lines, then can we have quality when performing the next action

Breaking Lines (25 mins)
Set Up:
- 7 Yards Long 10 Yards Wide per grid (potential to make it 15 have 2 cones stacked on one another incase need to extend 5 yards.) Total 21 Yards Long x 10 wide
- 3 teams of 4 - team in middle defends.
Conditions:
- Team in the middle sends 2 players to go press while other 2 look to cut of passing lines and intercept pass.
- When defenders win the ball looking to play to the opposite side of grid (Example) red win the ball off blue they play across to yellow - then blue defend move into middle grid and red move into outside grid.
- 3 passes minimum before break of lines
- 2 min work 45 secs rest - 4 reps 1 block
Challenges:
- Can we when in possession of the ball have high ball speed - making it difficult for the defense team to cut passing lanes
- Can we be brave in decision making when breaking lines
- Can we defensively have high intensity to win the ball back when pressing
Target:
- Play the ball across 1 point
- Break lines into the middle zone to player receive and players teammates 2 points (rep 3)
Progressions:
- After rep 2 explain the progression - players from supporting zone, 1 player can check into the middle zone receive the ball and play across to teammates (Example) Blue are in possession and red are defending yellow can check into the middle zone and receive the ball and play across to teammates.
Regressions:
- Reduce the amount passes need before switching play.
- Or extending the playing area making it bigger for the in possession team.
Coaching Points:
- In possession clear decision making to play through, round, over to be able to switch the point of attack
- Move the ball quickly to find the spare player in doing so breaking lines
- Defensively win the ball back quickly and play across to the other group
- Timing of the movement into middle zone to receive the ball in between the lines and play to teammates (Starting rep 3 and 4) - In addition to the players body orientation to be able to receive the ball and then execute the next player action connecting play.
