Area = 2 x Grid A (area 30 x 10mtrs) & 1 x Grid B (area 30 x 20mtrs)
2 x small goals
Explanation
4 x Blue players & 4 Yellow players position themselves inside Grid B.
1 x Blue player & 1 Yellow player position themselves inside Grid A.
2 x Red Bouncers position themselves on the outside of the Area as shown.
Play starts with the Yellow team.
The Yellow team in posession pass the ball within Grid B & attempt to pass to #9 in attacking Grid A.
#9 can drop into Grid B to create overload & allow forward run/pass into Grid A.
A maximum of 2 Yellow players can then enter Grid A and attempt to score in small goals.
If Blue win the ball they attempt same in opposite direction.
If you score your team starts play from the defending end.
Red Bouncers play with team in possession and are unable to score.
Progression
Make playing area small or larger.
Additional player from each team allowed to enter Grid A once ball enters (ie 2v3)
Team Task
Create the right moment by using combination play to create a passing lane and space for #9 to either receive in Grid A or drop into Grid B and create overload.
Player Tasks
When your team has possession in the middle third, and are coming under pressure, can you help the ball carrier by getting in a position to receive the ball and take your first touch forward. If you can’t receive and play forward then pass to a team mate who can. Move the ball quickly to create overload. Play angle passes where possible. Support the #9 from below.

Main Moment: BP
Key Principle: 7,9 and 11 not recognising when to drop out of front third and show for the ball.
Football Problem: When we win the ball in our back or middle third, our front third players immediately look for a ball to be played beyond the oppositions defensive line. In most occassions this reults in ball possession being turned over.
5 W's:
What: Failing to maintain possession top third after we have won the ball back.
Where: Middle to top third.
Who: 7, 9 and 11.
When: 3, 4, & 6 has controlled possession.
Why: 7, 9 and 11 looking for ball played over and beyond defensive line.
