Setup:
Half size pitch with wide zones and area tapered at 1 end
9 v 9 ( Blue team GK- 4-2-1-1, missing wide players ( 4-4-1-1 )
( Red team GK-2-4-1-1, missing full backs ( 4-4-1-1 )
Organisation:
Teams start and play with all rules of the game outside of corners.
RED team to attack BLUE Goal attempting to use switching play principles
.To attack the BLUE goal, the RED team must transfer the ball from 1 wide zone to another to initiate attempts on goal.
BLUE can send in 1 player into the wide zones and RED Team can send an extra player into the wide zone and create 2 v 1 in wide zones.
. RED 4&5 CB's on 2/3 touch to promote speed of play and forward passes and limited on number of square passes

RED's in a 2-4-1-1 formation
Session Type: Specific Practice (25 mins)
Pitch Size: 1/2 pitch
Session Objective:
To develop the team's ability to effectively defend in the switching play by maintaining a compact shape, delaying opposition attacks, and successfully regaining possession through coordinated pressing and clearances, with a focus on minimizing goal-scoring opportunities. Equipment Needed Full-size goal*2, Small Goals*2 Balls and Bibs
Set up:
3 goals to simulate areas where the strikers in blue would be. (these will then be removed for a bigger goal in the Small sided game
Organisation:
RED team will atack the BLUE team attempting to switch play and score,
Wide zones can only be used by RED WIDE PLAYERS to start with.
Blue team on winning possession can counter attack and attempt to score in any of the 3 target goals under a time managed attack by coach.
