1v1 Ladders - 3 pass then attack.
Setup: 20x10 connected grids. Create as many grids as their are pairs of players.
Procedure:
1. Three passes are completed with the two 1v1 players in each grid.
2. Receiving the third pass starts the 1v1 battle.
3. Player in possession scores a point but dribbling the opposite line under control.
4. If defender disposses they transition quickly to attack and score.
5. Restart after goal or out of play with three passes beginning with second player.
6. Player for 60 - 90 secs.
7. Winner reports score to coaches.
8. Rotation: Winners move up the "ladder" and losers move down the "ladder".

4v4 + 4 waiting:
Set up: 30x30, groups of 9 or 12 (4v4 or 3v3 +)
Procedure :
1. Two teams of four on the field play keep away with the help of the other 4 stationed on each side as neutrals.
Progressions:
1. Set # of passes remove a team and the other comes on to defend as team in possession continues to work.
2. Directional - Go to goal.

Set up: 1/2 field, play big goal and wide/deep cone gates set up close to midfield.
Procedure:
1. One team is assigned to defend the big goal while the other defends the gates.
2. Team defending the big goal maintains possession while the other looks to score on big goal.
3. Switch every 5-10 minutes

Warm up - Technical (15 mins)
4 line dribbling:
Set up: 30x30 yd grid, 4 cones set on the middle of each side and one in the middle. Even number of players at each outside cone.
Procedure:
1. Have the two red players dribble at each other and perform prescribed manipulation with the ball.
2. Once the red players reach the middle the yellow players begin.
3. Possible turns, moves: (be sure to use both feet)
a. Outside of foot, inside of foot.
b. Roll in
c. 2 touch in then out, 2 touch out then in.
d. Scissors
e. Step over
Progressions:
1. 1v1 battles with one ball. Begin with passive defending and progress to active.
2. Passing, one ball each pair of lines.
3. Passing, one ball each pair of lines, a third ball moving around the outside back of lines.
Coaching points:
1. Close, small and controlled touches.
2. Change direction with the ball.
3. Both feet.
4. Distance and timing of move.
