Description
WHAT - Defending/pressing in the attacking third - WHERE - The attacking third - WHEN - The moment we lose possession - WHO - 9,11,10,7,8,6 (4-2-3-1)
WHY - We don't press just to win possession, we press to score goals!
HOW - 9 pushes attacking team to either wide area, att/def. mids follow cue to trap near sideline and win possession, and back line pushes up to squeeze space.
Hunt together, as a unit! Trust together, when 1 goes we all go! Win the ball to score!

Organization:
- 30x20 as shown above.
- 3 teams of 4 / 5 players.
- 4-minute rounds.
Instructions:
- Attacking team (yellow above) has to connect 3 passes, can then attack forward to connect with other team (blue above) for 1 point.
- As soon as they've played across, yellow team become the defending team; red team now becomes attacking team in vacated third.
- If defending team ever wins the ball, game becomes 4v4 going towards goal. Goal counts as 2 points.
- If attacking team wins ball back after losing possession, they play as originally intended to other side.
- Play must be on the ground.
Coaching Points/Questions:
- How quickly can we react when we transition to get pressure on the ball?
- Can we sustain focus and effort for full 5 minute round?
- Which direction should we try to show opponent on the ball soon as its played in? (Toward sideline double team trap)
- What angle run and body shape should we take when pressing the opponent on the ball? (Curved run that closes off back pass to CB / GK).
- Where should the defending players in the middle zone position themselves once pass towards the inside is played? (Ready to cover, one comes closer in towards the ball, other one a bit deeper for balance)

Regressions/Progressions:
- P: Switch can be in the air.
- P: Remove # of passes. Soon as ball is played in red team can get across whenever.
- R: 5 passes for passing teams before they can play across.

- 5 minute rounds.

- No GK
Coaching Points/Questions:
- Which direction should we try to show opponent on the ball soon as its played in? (Inside towards our defending teammates)
- What angle run and body shape should we take when pressing the opponent on the ball? (Curved run that closes off the wide channel first).
- Where should the defending players in the middle zone position themselves once pass towards the inside is played? (Ready to cover, one comes closer in towards the ball, other one a bit deeper for balance)
- If we trap opponent can we be aggressive in try to steal the ball.
Regressions/Progressions:
- P: Add numbers to red team, make it 7v5 to make it more difficult for red team.
