Target - To improve technique in footwork for dealing with crosses and high balls into the box.
Description - 1) keeper moves behind the cones to take a thrown ball above their head. switch sideafter take, continue for each 4 each side. 2) keeper starts on the cone nearest to the server, the server throws the ball into the air and the keeper has to drop off around the back cone, step forward and catch the ball at its highest point.
Learning Objectives - To use the correct footwork when moving across the goal to attack a high ball, take off with the correct foot with good timing, catch the ball at your highest point possible with good early shout. To pick up flight of the ball early, drop off so you can attack the ball going forward and not catch the ball standing still.
