Set-Up

  • 3 stations, each with 5-6 players.

Transition Game (30 mins)

Set-Up


  • 2 teams, evenly divided. There is a neutral if we have uneven numbers.
  • Overall field is based on number of players and level of intensity desired. For 13 players we'll do 50 x 30 paces
  • Endzones are 5 paces x width

Game

  • Each team is looking to score by completing a pass into the opponent's end-zone
  • Defenders are not allowed in the end-zone at any point.
  • The objective is to get players to open up spaces behind and commit more runs in these areas.

Corner Kicks (25 mins)

Today's emphasis:

  • Proper placement of players into the box when defending
  • On offense, having a starting point and then making runs into different spaces (as shown in animation)
  • We'll always either aim for the back post (1 hand raised by kicker) or middle (2 hands raised by kicker).
