Organization:

-Area approx. 30x30 around 2 goals
Instructions:
-Players work through a variety of dribbling and shooting exercises to develop 1v1 skills and finishing techniques.
Progressions:
1. RWB past mannequin and take a shot
2. Dribble at mannequin and perform side-step 1v1 move, then shoot
3. Dribble at and past mannequin and perform inside/ouside cut 1v1 move, then shoot
4. Make it a race/competition between teams
5. Put in GKs
Coaching Points:
Dribbling - good first touch forwards, attack defender at speed, use of moves, changes of speed/directions
Shooting - angle of approach to the ball, position of standing foot, part of ball to strike, part of foot to use, body position, follow through, a positive attitude
Running with the ball - bigger touches out of feet, toe down to push it with laces
Ball mastery - close control, execute techniques

-3 cones
Instructions:
-Players at A have a ball each
-Player A passes to B, on B 1st touch player C makes a move centrally towards goal
-Player B lays ball of to C to strike 1st time at goal
-A will go to B, B to C, C collect ball & join opposite line
-Adjust starting position/cones to work other foot
-As progression, after B lays the ball off to C he becomes a passive defender rising to a challenging defender

Instructions:
1. Player passes ball through cones with good weight/accuracy
2. Curves run around the pole to approach the ball at an angle and take shot at goal
3. Shooter then becomes the next GK
Switch sides half-way through exercise so that they practice using both feet.
Coaching Points:
-approach to ball
-position of standing foot
-body position when striking the ball
-use of laces and striking the middle of the ball
-follow through after contact
