Learning Objectives
4 x ( 5x5) squares. 4 players on the out side with two middle men and one defender.
PLayers play 4 v 1 in one of the squares. After 3 passes one of the outside men only can switch the ball to another square.
The outside players move along the outside to support that square. The two in the middle move to the other square to join in plus the defender. If the defender wins the ball then he swaps with the player that gave it away.
Progressions:
1. Add another defender who positions himself on the cross in the middle. As the ball is transferred to another square, a new defender presses the ball and the other defender acts as cover.
2. The player who switches the ball, joins in and moves inside the square. One of the inside players then moves to the outside. This rotation puts an increased emphasis on decision making and awareness.

Practice Organisation:
*1 goal
*4 mannequins
1. Practice starts with: Player A takes a touch inside, this triggers player B to check out then check in
2. Player A passes the ball to player B who sets player A
3. Player A passes to player C who sets player B
4. Player B passes the ball on the other side of the mannequin to player C to shoot first time
5. Players follow their pass
Practice is repeated on the opposite side.

If the GK saves the ball a defender is allowed to drop into the area to receive to play out.
Progression 1:
A defender can retreat into this area where appropriate

Rondo
4 v 1 - 1 touch.
4 lines of players who play one pass and then spin to the back of their queue.
Progression:
Rather than spinning to the back of your own queue players join one of the queues to their left or right. This adds an awareness and decision making element as players must make sure there are roughly equal numbers in each queue.
