Organisation (Practice Layout & Transition)
Can use any part of the pitch though using goal mouth will add more realism and also if unable to control ball could lead to ball entering the goal. Will need a few balls, 4 goalkeepers, and four cones.
The transition to a small sided game is that in the game the keeper cannot pick the ball up but has to play out with their feet, encouraging the keeper focus on thier body position, detail in control and quality of pass.

Adaptations (Progressions & Regressions):
The first part of drill is that S1 will pass to GK who will take a touch and then pass the ball back to S1.
2nd part of drill will be to take a longer pass from S2, GK to take a touch of ball to control the ball within the coned box and then to play it to S3. S3 will then play it back to GK who will then take a touch and the pass the ball onto S2.
3rd part of drill will to do the above but once the ball has been returned to S2 to then take a pass from S1 and to take a controlling touch and return a pass to S1 before taking a pass from S2 and going through the routine again.
Challenges, Conditions or Targets:
The challenge for the goalkeeper is to take a controlling touch and pass the ball within the coned box and pass accurately to one of the servers, using quick footwork and quick movements with the box.
Further challenges is that S2 and S3 can slowly move out once the keeper has shown he control and pass the ball is a smaller area.
Further progression can be once the S2 and S3 have moved further out S1 can shoot at the keeper mixing up passing and shooting.
