Description

The objective of this activity is to create an atmosphere of team work associated with speed, agility and cognitive coordination, where they will perform a lot of touches on the ball, 1 touch or two touches to improve ball familiarity under pressure .

Screen 1 (5 mins)

SPEED AND COORDINATION FOOTWORK - 3 MINUTES

Organization

9  to 10 players, cones, speed ladders, poles and soccer balls

SET UP

1two lines of cones (10 c0nes line up few steps a part from each line of two cones), 1 set of 5 poles at he end of the last cone

DRILL DESCRIPTION

Split the players into two groups.

GROUP 1

The group will initiate at the whistle, passing the ball for 30 secs, after the second whistle they will leave the balls and , They will perform sideways steps over the cones, bunting L/R over the RED MARKERS, for few seconds, than accelerates between the poles, and perform the ball touches again.

4 reps x 35 secs

GROUP 2

Will initiate at the same time as group 1 upon the whistle.

They will starting by performing step and bunting L/R at the lines of poles, as soon they finish the bunting they will perform acceleration drills at the speed ladder.

They will go stepping forward at the agility ladder, with several variations of lateral and forward speed withing the ladder

, back to the soccer balls again for another 45 secs

SPEED AND AGILITY WITH COGNITIVE COORDINATION TO TARGET - 3 MINUTES

ORGANIZATION

5 POLES, TO 10 PLAYERS, SOCCER BALLS, CONES

SET UP

Set up 9 cones as a ZIG ZAG  pattern, with 1 player at each cone, set up a line of 5 poles, 10 yards away from the the last player on line of the last pattern. Upon whistle the players will initiate the passing and follow their passes, at the end of the line this player will dribble with speed, forward performing at least to moves with the ball, before getting into to the poles, once in the poles, they will dribble the poles, and at the last pole they will shoot on target,

VARIATION IF TIME ALLOWED

Player initiate by passing and follow it with agility, receive and pass back(short/short/long)

walk and stretch..
