Objective: Improve attacking heading and finishing in front of goal.
Activity: Designate 2 servers. Servers will have all the balls. Server will serve ball in air to players getting around mannequin. Player will head ball at goal. Player will then turn to other server where they will receive a ball on the ground to side foot into goal. Players should then go to closest lines. 3 min rounds and rotate servers.
Coaching Points: Timing and pace of run. Body shape to the ball. What foot will we strike with. On the served ball, different technique. Technique of attacking header. Service must be good.
Guided Discovery Qs: Are we preparing the body shape as the ball is arriving? Are we picking a spot before we hit the ball? Head the ball?

Objective: Improve finishing ability of the strikers.
Activity: Play 3v3 in the middle with the touchline players 2 touches and the endline players 1 touch. Goals count as 3, shots on goal count as 1. Rotate players after 3-4 minutes. Players should look for a variety ways to finish- from a cross, a laid ball back, or off the dribble.
Coaching Points: Technique, body shape, creating space and off the ball running. Using outside players create space and shooting angles, create mentality of goal scorers.
Guided Discovery Qs: How is body shape when receiving the ball? Am I ready to shoot when I get the ball? How do we create space for each other? If I don't have pressure on me, what am I doing?

Organization:
3 teams x 4 players per team
3 pugg goals
starting and shooting gates for each team
Marker line set up of which players must shoot ball from behind
Instructions:
Shooting player starts in shooting gate ready to receive ball
Team mate next in line of start gate strikesball to shooting player
Shooting player can take a touch before shooting ball (must be behind marker line) into their assigned pugg goal.
Shooting player goes to back of starting gate line, player who struck ball to shooting player runs to shooting gate to become next person to shoot on goal for team (rotation repeats).
Team to X amount of goals wins.
