Set Up
Create a 30x40 field
- 8 yard end zone at one end
- 2 small goals at the other end
- 6 yard wide channels either side
- 4 v 4 (Blue 9/7/11/10)
How to Play
Start - End blue player starts play by passing in to a team mate. Highest Red player has to run through a goal before playing!
Blue aim to get a player on the ball in the end zone.
Red aim to win the ball and score as quickly as possibel.
Rules
- Highest Red player has to run through a goal before joining in.
- Red can't go into wide channel until wide player has touched the ball
- Off-side rule applies
Team Task
This exercise is all about trying receive either in behind the opposition defenders or in space using quick passing and moving
Player Tasks
- look to receive beyond the opposition defenders or to feet in space.
- make double movements to create space
- if you can't play forward, quickly play to someone who can
- create 2v1's and quickly combine to beat defender
- expoit spaces behind pressuring defenders

- High red player can join in as soon as ball is played.

Rules:
Start - Red CM mis-placed pass into FB
Red 1-4-3 (Alfie/Ziz/Ben/Jaydn/Quinn/Todd/Mex/Rueben)
- Win the ball as high as you can (2 points if won in opposition half and score. 1 if won in own half)
- Quickly score by passing into one of the goals
Blue (Logan/Roshan/Cole/Hugo/Tom/Jordan/Jai/Dan)
- Score in the big goal
- Always 2 players back (within width of centre circle)
- If we lose possession, press immediately

- Start, Organisation, Atitude and Ability, Understanding, Shape, Self
Team Task
- Today is all about hurting the opposition in wide areas if we can't hurt them through the middle.
Player tasks
Full Backs #2/5
- Be in a position to receive to feet or beyond marker
- Drive forward if space in-front
- Look for furthest forward pass
- Support WF in front or with over/under-lapping run
- Find space in/around the box when ball being delivered
- Balance in attack to recognise when to join or cover
Centre Midfield #6/#8
- If the opposition are pressing, drop into CB to create a back 3 to release FB's.
- If both FB's go, both have to stay to keep attacking shape (3-1/2-2)
- If the opposition don't press, #6 create diamond with GK and CB's.
- Play accurate forward passes over a wide range into advanced players
- Switch play to find team mate in space.
- If we can't attack down one side, find a position where you can quickly switch the ball to the opposite side.
- Support the attack with superior positioning and constant aggressive running
- Interchanging movement with other midfielders to create space to receive
Attacking Centre Midfielder #10
- Look for early balls through/over the defensive line.
- Support ST and WF in-front or behind opposition defenders.
- Get into goal scoring positions
- Drive forward in space
- Get free to receive and progress the ball in between the lines
Wingers #7/#11
- Look to receive beyond defenders (between FB and CB). If not, receive to feet in space.
- Create space for FB to over-lap/combine around defenders
- Get free to receive and progress the ball in between the lines
- Get into goal-scoring positions
- Make runs beyond the defensive line
- Become second striker when the ball on opposite side
- Dribble effectively to engage defenders in 1v1s
Striker #9
- Get into goal scoring positions
- Get free to receive the ball beyond opponent’s defence
- Get into positions to link up with midfielders and forwards
- Combine with others in front of the defensive line to get someone beyond the defensive line
- Dribble effectively to engage defenders in 1v1s

How to Play
Normal football rules apply except no corners - ball to start with GK of team who won the corner.

Set Up
Create a 40x60 yard field with a neutral player at either end and 5 players in one side and two in the other (teams playing in opposite directions)
How to Play
Neutral starts play one side and finishes with a ball to the neutral on the other side. Quick get back into shape and start again going the other way.
i) all players must touch the ball before playing through to the other side - 3 players can support play
ii) ball can only travel through wide areas (dribble or through ball) - 3 players to support play
iii) ball can be played through middle or wide but at least one supporting player must travel through wide area
