Can we get lots of wide and depth to pass arounbd the defenders. Can we also move to new space after we pass. The if we lose the ball can we defend

Keep Possesion from the defenders (15 mins)

Possession small sided Game

5 players on inside of grid and 5 defenders on outside

Coach on outside with 10 balls

Game starts everytime with coach player ball in to inside players.

The inside players keep posession as one defender is added every 20 seconds.

Once the defenders win the ball they must try to score through one of the outside gates and the inside team must defend from them scoring.

If the posession team makes 10 passes they get a point.

After the ten balls are played in the roles are switched.

So team with possession must work on attcaking priicnples of width and depth, then when they lose the ball can they defend and win the ball back.

The defending team must work on pressure with support and then when they win the ball can they find the gate that is not defended and score quick.

Crossfire

Play 4 v 4 or 5v5 inside the grid with two floater players on the outside.

Floaters on outside are attackers on both teams when they have the ball and if a ball is played to them no one can go defend them in their 5 yrd grid.

The ideal is the inside players should try to give and go with that player or can she down the side lines with a few touches and then strike the ball across the face of the net along the ground while the other player try to direct it in.

A goal can only be score after it is played into the outside players and played back in or crossed in.

If the ball goes out the coach should play into the team whoise ball it should be to keep it quick. Coach is to have lots of balls beside him.

Main goals can we get it wide, can we cross early, or can we give and go quick

Can we get the ball wide and can the outside player take a quick touch foward and cross the ball in if we are in the attcaking zone.

Secret Weapon (15 mins)

Play 5v 5 or 4 v 4 depedning on the numbers. Just a standard small side game but each team must have a secret weapon that can only score. They must get together at the beginning and decide secrectly who that is and the coach must go to each group and find out to make the game fair.

Start with one secret weapon and then make two weapons as the game goes on.

Give the girls hints that no secret weapons can shoot just miss the net or hit the goal to confuse the other team.

Siwtch the ball to find the gate and good possesion before we do. Look to switch side to find open gate

New Scotland Yard (15 mins)

Play 6 v 4 for one team. 5 and a goalie against 3 and a goalie

The team with 6 must eaither pass through the gate or dribble through the gate before they can score.

It can be in any direct. The defending three players can go score any time.

Start with each team only going one direction to score. Since our tiem is short we work noramlly progress this to you can score on either net.

Switch the three players and two goalies to giv ethem a chance to play with extra numbers.
