Finishing & Combination Practice (15 min)
Directions:
- Player 1 dribbles and finishes
- Player 2 combines (wall pass) and finishes
- Player 3 joins → 2v1 to goal
- Each rep max 10 seconds
- Rotate positions continuously
Benefits:
- Develops finishing under pressure
- Encourages quick attacking decisions
- Improves combination play in final third
- Game-realistic attacking patterns
Coaching Points:
- Attack at speed with the ball
- Head up when dribbling
- Quality of pass (timing & weight)
- Use 1v1 moves to beat defender

2v1 → 3v2 Pressing Waves (12 min)
Directions:
- Start with 2v1 attack to goal
- If defender wins → counter quickly
- Next phase becomes 3v2 from opposite team
- Continuous wave play
- Rotate defenders and attackers
Benefits:
- Trains pressing in final third
- Improves transition speed
- Encourages attacking overloads
- Builds fitness through repeated sprints
Coaching Points:
- Quick forward runs after transition
- Use overload (find spare player)
- Pass with detail (timing & accuracy)

6v5 + GK (Creating chances in final third) (20 min)
Directions:
- Attackers (6, 8, 10, 7, 9, 11) vs back 4 + CDM + GK
- Play starts from midfield/coach
- Objective: create chances and finish
- If defenders win → counter to mini goals

- Creates realistic final third scenarios
- Develops midfield combinations

- Maintain midfield triangle (6–8–10)

- 6v6 inside + wide players outside
- Teams must build and create chances
- Wide players support attack

- Add scoring system (shot = 1, on target = 2)

- Encourages width and depth

Directions:

8v8 Conditioned Game – Creating Chances in Final Third (13 min)
Directions:
- 8v8 game (including GKs if available)
- Set up on half field or reduced full field
- Teams must complete at least 3 passes in final third before finishing (or)
- Goal counts double if created from:
- Combination play (1-2, third man run)
- Wide play → cross → finish
- Coach serves balls quickly to keep tempo high
- If ball goes out → immediate restart (no stoppages)
Benefits:
- Transfers training into realistic game situations
- Encourages chance creation vs random play
- Reinforces attacking patterns (central + wide)
- Improves decision-making under pressure and fatigue
Coaching Points:
- Movement off the ball creates space
- Timing of runs into the box (not too early)
