Organization:
Set up as with previous drill
Instructions:
1. Must be 2 touch
2. Ball must stay outside of the diamond
3. No more than 1 double pass
Coaching Points:
1. Recap of receiving
2. Movement as ball travels
3. Always creating options to right and left to open up forward lane
Progressions:
1. Players can not pass the ball till they have 2 options on cone to the left and to the right of the cone.

Organization:
As shown. Create angle arc for GK. Blue line divides fields
Instructions:
GK stands outside of red cone arc.
A takes touch out of their feet and B opens up to create an angled passing lane.
A plays double pass to B and shoots into the GK hands.
After shot, GK rolls out to B who peels off into either outer channel.
Each shot the GK holds scores 1 point for that group.
Coaching Points:
Quality of touch and movement to start the play.
Quality of double pass
Observe target
Confident strike
GK stay in front of angle arc
GK choose contour catch, basket catch, or tip depending on shot height.
GK speed of distribution and play into back foot.
GK communication to defender- what to encourage, what to deny?
Progressions:
1. GKs swap groups and shoot to score. First team to 10 goals wins.
2. Add defender from opposite group to stay behind B, when B touches the ball they become live.

Organization:
As shown. GK in middle of channel and plays between middle cones. All other players with a ball.
Instructions:
Player with ball tries to dribble past GK. If player successfully dribbles across to opposite end of channel they get a point. Next ball starts with player in opposite line.
If GK stops them from getting through, the GK gets a point.
First player to 10 points wins.
Coaching Points:
1. GK Make yourself big.
2. GK React off of a bigger touch
3. GK Anything on it to get it out of play
4. GK Quick up on feet if deny attacker one side but attacker still gains possession.
5. Attacker try to unbalance GK
6. Attacker speed to get through channel.
Progressions:
Player who loses the ball becomes the GK

Everytime the ball goes out you start from the GK
Coaching Points:
Goalkeeper
1. GK staying connected with team and switched on to the game
2. When GK gets ball look to 1st line, then 2nd line, then 3rd line. Want to build out through center backs
3. When win the ball in open play look to 3rd line, then 2nd line, then 1st line. Want to look to counter attack and exploit space possibly left by opposition
Team
1. Shape when ball goes out of play 1-2-1-2-1
2. Movement of team as the ball moves
3. Players with ball - Look to penetrate, if can't look to keep the ball
4. Players in 2nd line, open passing lane/support - move as ball is passed
5. Players in 3rd line - Find passing lane as ball travels - Check in on eye contact
Progression / regression:
Restart always from coach who plays into center forward for breakaway to work on GK 1 vs 1
Restart from coach who players ball in air to work on crosses
Passing and receiving (10 mins)
Organization:
As shown- one diamond and one ball for 3 players.
Instructions:
Players receive 5 balls from left cone and then 5 balls from right cone before switching players.
Coaching Points:
1. Open body shape and get it on the back foot
2. Receiving touch out of feet and head up
3. Once ball is passed stay connected
4. Pass to back foot.
