Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): Attacking Corners - Basic Set-Up

Description

-Players split into two groups and set up in the corner positions asshown, with one player on the goalkeeper, four players on the edge of the box[in two pairs] and two players just outside the box.

-Phase 1 – The corner kick is taken, with runners attacking the ball intheir designated areas, and seeking to score past the goalkeeper.

-After phase 1 is completed, and the chance is over, playersimmediately set for phase 2.

-Phase 2 – The ball is played from the coach to the original corner kicktaker, who has moved to receive towards the top corner of the box. They shouldseek to either lay the ball off to the player on the edge of the box for astrike or cross the ball towards the goal, to score or assist a teammate.

-Once phase 2 is over, second group sets up to have their turn.
