Set Up: Passing Drill - Setting up to play short and Long.
Organisation: Agility Poles as shown to replicate wide player positions on both flanks. One one side the movement of the wingback is to receive and play in the midfielder and then get a return from the 9. On the opposite side the movement is to play longer to the 9 and have the wingback support and play the 10 into the box.
Coaching Points: The movement of the the players off the poles to make space.
The movement of the wingback is a double movement to trigger both passes. First away and back to drop in. Then in and away to support the 9.
Quality and timing of movement. Non-verbal comms. Quality passing and touches.
Playing the ball to the correct foot to encourage forward play.
Progressions: One ball and one side works. They 2 balls and both sides. Then freeplay movement for all.
