Group 2 (Lower ability) 5v4 (floater) (plus 2 end players 7v4)

2 groups of 4 outfield players in central zone (+1 floater Group 2) and one from each team on outside.
Outside player starts with ball and plays with his colour, if they successfully get the ball across to the other side to the opposite colour player they score a point. Play then starts from back with the blue player with a new ball. If Red successfully get ball across to blue play then restarts with red.
Progression/Regression:
- Swap with the outside player when successful switch is completed.
- Pass limit before switching.
- Must get a combination in midfield before switching or encourage playing receiving on half turn and playing direct to the other side.
Coaching points:
central players are CMx2, CAM, RW,LW . Outside players are CB, ST.

Communication.
Is player able to receive on half turn? Open body shape, has checked shoulders.
Keep ball moving, can do a bounce pass with CB to open up a new space and retain possession.

Condition:
Play must go through a middle player and middle zone to get into final third.
Progression/Regression:
-Full backs/Wingers can now go into middle third and be an option to play through the zone.
- Use only width of penalty box for central players, if they are going into wide areas and it is becoming too easy.
- Must get central combination
Coaching Points:
- Midfield rotations
- Players looking to play into middle quickly and precisely.
- Depth and width
- Maximizing central space available.
- Demanding the ball.
- Body shape and timing when presenting for the ball.

Teams move ball unopposed and follow their pass, do two different patterns then swap the groups over so that they perform it on the opposite side / direction.
Coaching Points:
Precise passing and quick ball speed.
Following the logical sequence, trying to understand sequences as quickly as possible.
Explain how this pattern relates to a realistic BP scenario, with cones set up in the area of the pitch they would actually occur in a game.
