SET UP:
> 8 balls in play. 4 ready to go and 4 ready to set a tempo for session, good flow.
> Coach to have a good supply of balls to keep flow of arrival activity.
KEY POINTS:
1. First 4 players manipulate their balls to central mannequins. Now dribbling or RWB.
2. Players to perform a skill move to change direction to thieir right and accelerate away from the turn.
Use turns from first part of session, be creative and can we add in invenive combo skills.
3. After each skill is performed and players return to home base (1 complete loop), change the direction (to the left).
**CP1**- Dribble at pace, slow down to perform the skill then acclerate away from the mannequin.
**CP2**- Play with your head up, nice and fleet footed and focus on timing and distance from player when executing the skill.
**CP3**- When receving next pass be ready, bouncing on toes, positive first touch towards the mannequin or focus on your pass/lay off.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
**8 balls to the practice**
P1. As above players dribble the ball to the mannequin, perform the skill and accelerate to their right.
They then play a 1/2 before playing team mate in for their next dribble.
**CP1**- Providing a good angle and distance for the bounce pass.
P2. As 1). Player now scores a first time strike into the mini goal after receiving pass back from awaiting team mate.
P3. Advanced- Player to turn away from mannequin, play pass back to awaiting team mate, then open up the body to receive on the back foot to play/dribble forward. An added combination to include supporting player. Players to the decide whether to go for bounce pass (1) or to bounce and score first time (2) with awaiting team mate.

> 3v1 possession/rondo roulette.
> 4x 10x10 areas.
> SAQ equipment as desired.
> Coach to have a good supply of balls to keep flow of the session.
KEY POINTS:
1. Players to start on coaches call. Keeping possession 3 attackers v 1 defender rondo. Attackers to count max passes completed. Defenders to count how many times they can win the ball.
2. On coaches call of 'Roulette' defenders to run in a clockwise direction to the next area (3v1).
3. Defenders to complete a full loop till they are back with their original group. Coach to set time (30secs) of time in each area. Coach to decide on SAQ movements between areas.
**CP1**- Players to be comfortable in possession. Always ready to receive a pass. Creating a 'passing lane' to receive the pass away from defender.
**CP2**- Communicate and signal when you are on for the pass. Decision making on first time pass or to draw defender in by taking a touch.
**CP3**- Awareness to take lateral touch towards supporting player.
3. All players to rotate being the defender and coach to change direction at will.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
1. Unopposed to opposed defending.
2. Defender to dribble ball outside area when gaining possession to win an extra point.

POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
1. Players now to keep possession in a 4v2 rondo overload. If players complete 10 passes both defenders to perform a forfeit. **Also split pass or nutmeg counts for double**
2. If defenders win the ball they look to combine to score in mini goal- 2v4
3. On coaches call only 1 defender will perform the roulette. The other passively defending till help arrives.
**CP1**- Players in possession to look to move the ball quickly to create an opening for a split pass (between the 2 defenders).
**CP2**- Players to be active and moving constantly. Providing a apssing option for the ball carrier or to plan ahead, identify the passing pattern.
**CP3**- Composure on the ball, rest in possession till a penetrative pass is an option.

SET UP:

> Start without the ball.
> Players to change Agility sequence on coaches call as a unit (team).
> Add ball in as we progress.
KEY POINTS:
Sequence 1
- Players to perform slalom through poles. Accelerating and decelerating as fast as possible. Dipping low into turns and changing direction sharply.
- Player to receive pass from team mate to finish in small goals (control or 1st time), then replace team mate with next ball to become server.
- Next player ready to go after 3rd pole is rounded.
Progression w/o ball
- Player to hit the inside of the pole to complete a 360 loop to drive out to next pole. (as seen above)
Sequence 2
- Players to perform agility jumps over hurdles and change of direction on landing.
- Player to receive pass from team mate to finish in small goals (control or 1st time), then replace team mate with next ball to become server.
Sequence 3
- Players to perform agility shuffles through the discs (also can use poles laid down) horizontally.
- Changing direction sharply when you travel down the channel left to right then right to left.
- Player to receive pass from team mate to finish in small goals (control or 1st time), then replace team mate with next ball to become server.
- Next player ready to go after 3rd channel is complete.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
Sequence 1
- Players to perform slalom through poles with the ball. Accelerating and decelerating as fast as possible. Dipping low into turns and changing direction sharply. Being creative with skill moves and turns.
- Player to receive pass from team mate to finish in small goals (control or 1st time), then replace team mate with next ball to become server. Feeder can now try to stop the player scoring.
- Next player ready to go after 3rd pole is rounded.
Sequence 2
- Players to now complete agility runs with the ball, accelerating with the ball to the hurdle and touching it to the inside (direction of your next hurdle), continuing to dribble the ball after jumping the hurdle.
- Player to now play pass into team mate to finish in small goals (control or 1st time), then replace team mate to become next server. Feeder can now try to stop the player scoring, added 1v1 element (5sec time cap).
- Next player ready to go after 3rd hurdle is hopped.
Sequence 3
- Players to take ball through channels.
- Be creative with your footwork/ball mastery. Lateral touches (La Croquetta, sole roles, turns and chops on outside of channels).
- Player to now play pass into team mate to finish in small goals (control or 1st time), then replace team mate to become next server. Feeder can now try to stop the player scoring, added 1v1 element (5sec time cap).

SET UP:
> 5v5 + 5
> Possession game
> Keepers stay or rotate every game.
> 2-4min time cap or until a goal is scored.
> 2 touch for outside players/team, they can not be tackled.
KEY POINTS:
1. Players to keep possession and look to score using the overload (in possession) of 8v4 outfield players.
2. Coach can set a number of passes, for example 5 before you can score.
3. Quick rotations when a team scores.
4. Players on the outside, bouncers, to remain active and work together as a unit with the team in possession. Quick in transition when possession is changed.
**CP1**- Quality in possession, good awareness of space and ability to play the free/open player.
**CP2**- Focus on build up play, movement off the ball, penetrative passes and timing of pass and run to try and score.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
1. Training game to lead into normal match.
2. Outside players to stretch pitch as wide players, they can now be tackled.
3. Organise a 4 team mini tournament. 3v3 or 4v4. Small goals across pitch.

HOMEWORK
1. Players to practice ball mastery and technical skills intoduced in the Arrival activity.
2. Players to go and research teams keeping possession on Youtube. Barcelona a great example. Can we identify players who keep possession of the ball well. Watch these players and give feedback to coach at next session.

-toe taps -tic tacs -inside/outsides -sole rolls -inside x2 outside -outside x2 inside -dribbling -slalom -RWB.
**coach can add in cones, flats for slalom**
2. Players to perform a skill move to change direction to their right and accelerate away from the turn.
-Fakes/disguise -Scissors -Double scissors -Drag -Cruyff -Maradona -Ronaldo chop -Step over -Matthews. Also ball mastery touches from above.
3. After each skill is performed and players return to home base (1 complete loop), change the direction (to the left).
