6v2 Rondo
Defender has to win possession to interchange with player who lost ball.
Oranges have to conect 10 or 15 passes for defenders stay 1 rd. Split defenders stay 1 round. 10 or 15 passes = punishment (5 pushups)
Variations:
Defenders have to win possession and successfully dribble out of box to get out.
2 touch only.
When you make a pass you have to then move to another side of the box. (No standing, no walking).
Unlimited touches. You can dribble around (ball is not hot potato.)
1 touch. forcing players to move into support angle quicker.
Progression:
6v2 Double Rondo
players have to make 5 passes in one grid in order to transition to opposite grid (one player waiting).
2 defenders try to win possession, interchange with person who lost ball.
Coaching points:
Play away from pressure.
Body shape always open to field.
Head up eyes up scan field.
Keep good shape in possession and occupy the right space to support player. Diamond shape, creat triangles.

6v6v6 Transition
Blues attack big goal and if they score they cont scoring on big goal. If Orange successfully pass ball to greens waiting, the oranges come off, blues transition to defend big goal and greens attack big goal. Points only for scoring on big goal. Goal in less than 10 sec worth double. Two games can go on simultaniously. Adjust numbers if needed.
Coaching points:
Prevent penetrating pass into team that is off.
Quckly transition to offense when team is disoranized, expliot that moment.
Forward passes or penetrative dribbling in transition only. Break to goal quickly.

Cognitive dribbling and passing warmup
Setup: Players line up 20 yds apart with a ball at each end.
1. Two soccer balls, players dribble and next player takes over. Dribblers count backwards (5,4,3..)
2. Two soccer balls, players dribble and pass when half way. Follow your pass. Have to say Shoe color of player you're playing into.
3. Two soccer balls, dribble and any turn half way and pass back into your line. Have to say Shoe color of player you're playing into.
4. One ball, players receive and pass two touch. Player follows pass. Player has to call out color of hair of person receiving their pass.
5. Now goes back into same line.
6.Dribbler now has shadow defender shuffiling back to thier line. dribbler then becomes shadow defender.
7. Dribbler gives a number, defender adds 2. How many numbers can dribbler give from start to finish? defender has to think quick and solve.
8. Defender now shuffles half way and turns and sprints to back of line. dribbler gives a number defender subtracts 3.
9. Now defender races dribbler to opposite end facing the ball. still dribbler gives number defender subtracts 3.
10. Two touch pass player curls back around to back of their line. Player gives shoe color of player behind them. The player making the pass is forced to check shoulders before making pass. One touch?
11. Two touch pass player curls back around to back of their line. Player behind her has to raise left or right hand. Player making pass is forced to check their shoulder and look for information. One touch?
Coaching Points:
Drive through the center of the ball for crisp clean pass.
Head up and eyes up.
Next player is always on their toes and ready for next pass.
Positive first touch, heel down toe up.
