Description

Objective: Advance the ball to create chances to score

What: Find a free player between or behind the lines

Where: Attacking half

When: We are in possession in the middle 3rd and getting organized to attack the space behind the oppositions high defensive line.

Who: Primary  7,8, 9 ,10, 11 Secondary: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

Why:  #7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 providing the passing options to play forward by making different runs behind the defensive line. 8 and 10 recognizing and exploiting space. Pass quickly, accurately and with appropriate pace to a free player. Pass dictates the action: pass with intent


Focus Team

MP: Break lines to advance the attack

SP: Drive with the ball to exploit space (drive) / Engage opponent: create 1v1 or 2v1 (engage) /Find free players behind or between lines (through)/ Switch player: pass the ball to opponents weak zone (Switch)  

PA: Scanning / supporting / adapting body shape

Opposition

MP:Create defensive shape

SP: Make team compact (get compact) / Create optimal distances between players (connect with your line)

PA: Intercepting / Pressing / Challenging / Delaying / block the shoty

Space/Dimensions: 40x60 yards

Constraints: Only one defender on flanks , neutral players, offside line
